I love this show, it’s a big reason why I love science fiction and they really show a story that entertaining and amazing. From it’s diverse characters to the world- And it’s comedy delivery and character exploration. It’s my favorite fiction podcast because of how dark and funny this can be, and it takes time to have fun. 20 minutes for a television programe, nice. A episode to walk around, yes.
This is a wonderfully made audio drama. The music is soothing. The characters are complex and well voiced. The sweet and tender relationships between Violet and Arkady as well as Violet and Sana.
The story is really interesting and voiced well. I just found the in-your-face LGBT agenda got to be quite annoying and distracting from what could have been a 5-star experience.
This podcast is WONDERFUL. I was smitten from the moment in the first episode where a character self-describes as a ‘puckish rogue’! more
Starship Iris has so much going for it, from the sound design through to making you fall in love with all the characters. There are fights! and queer romance! and some botany! and drunken shenanigans! and rebellion! and bits that make you laugh and/or cry! but in space!!
