In 2189, Earth narrowly won a war against extraterrestrials. The Strange Case of Starship Iris is about what comes after. It's a story of outer space, survival, espionage, resistance, identity, friendship, found family, romance, and secrets. (Also, there’s jokes.) Have you ever encountered a story that *technically* has a lot of LGBT representation but the whole thing is so poorly-constructed and nonsensical that dragging real demographics into this feels homophobic? If not, turn back while you still can.
Love love love this podcast! fully love all the characters, flaws and all. a very fun listen
This is a very good podcast with interesting characters and a fun plot. My biggest issue and what keeps me from giving it a 5 star rating is the reliance on a specific trope I hate, which is splitting the main cast. This show does this so regularly that I find the character relationships stunted as a direct result.
Fascinating premise and a great cast. Their insurgency against "The republic" does sometimes reveal the hand of the author.
Great acting and story really enjoying this podcast
