Was looking for another show after listening to Midnight Burger. 8 episodes in, and I love it. The characters are great and all voiced by one person, which is impressive. The premise is interesting, the music is wonderful, and the vibe is supremely comfy.
Desert Skies hooked me from the first episode with its intriguing theme of “life” (existence?) on the astral plane. With each subsequent episode I became more attached to the characters, then blown away when it sunk in that Jared voices them all. It’s funny and whimsical, but also emotionally touching and at times deeply sad yet comforting. Thank you Jared for this delightful content. I’m eagerly awaiting season 4!
When i listen, its more than just a podcast. It feels like im transported to a whole new world. Cliche, i know, but i cant describe it any other way. And DUDE. When i heard that jarred carter does ALL THE WRITING, VOICE ACTING, AND PRODUCTION FOR EACH EPISODE IS INSANE. ESPECIALLY THE VOICE ACTING THING, like its so crazy to me that every voice is his! Its like professional grade. I could write a novel about everything i love about this show, but im trying to keep this under a paragraph. Just go... more
