  • Sometimes helpful

I’ve found that the content is sometimes helpful but other times I’ve been screaming “No! Do not do that!” (e.g. to pause halfway through a keynote and say something like “You’re open for business…come see me…” or to suggest people can step out in the hallway after your talk if there’s another speaker after you - that is incredibly rude to the other speaker). So yes, listen and find some tidbits but be sure not to take 100%.

Q: Is there any desire to ever go all in on professional speaking and not do ministry?

Avoiding Burnout in Speaking and Life with Arthur James
Q: Was that difficult for you?
It was a little difficult because we tend to think that God's going to provide and He will, but He also gives us wisdom to understand that we have to do our part to find creative, sometimes ways of generating revenue to where we're not doing what we've been called and gifted to do.
