  • Knowledgeable and generous conversations about game music

The depth and breadth of knowledge about, as well as the generosity and positivity towards, the music featured on the show means that not only do most episodes introduce me to great new game music but my listening is enhanced by hosts’ contextualisation, analysis and discussion. I came to this podcast through the Cane and Rinse game review series, but it is Sound of Play which is far and away my favourite in the Cane and Rinse stable.

  • A veritable feast of video game music!

As a fan of ABC Classical’s ‘The Games Show,’ I’ve always wanted a podcast like this - a musical deep-dive into the world of video game tunes, from people who clearly relish the opportunity to do so. more

  • My Wednesday Treat!

Incredibly comprehensive and well made podcast about a topic that continues to be criminally unrecognized. Great stuff!

  • The only podcast of its kind as far as I know, with playlists from the community and contributors and entertaining chat between the songs. If you like video game music it's a great listen.
