I coach a 7v7 U9 team in Tasmania . When I started I didn’t have a clue, I was focused only on the result with dreadful outcomes for the team, parent relationships and relationship with my own son. This pod cast changed everything, I turned from a results obsession to obsessing about the kids having fun and working for each other as a team. I’m a new coach who is in grassroots football and I find this show amazing and very relevant with a great selection of guests.
It provides great information not only for a beginner but for also the ongoing development of your coaching.
Great Work.

I am one of those passionate parent who decided to get involved and I felt in love with the game once again from a different angle.
I am passionate about the game and love learning as much as I can so I can pass on my knowledge to my fellow coaches and most importantly give the youngsters the right tools and environment to enjoy football and learn life skills.

I just wanted to write and say thanks for a wonderful podcast. I’ve been listening for about six months having recently started coaching my son’s U8’s (now U9’s) team.
So many useful tips and thoughts.
This is easily the best podcast out there for new coaches in the foundation phase. It will teach you the meaning of equal game time and the positive way of rotation through your young team. The lads speak so much sense and I’m truly grateful for the time they have put into this podcast. It has made me a better coach from the very first episode and I have listened to most episodes more than once. They have some great academy guests aswell as other guys that are right on top of the coaching
game. ... more
