Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Dexterity night in San Francisco: Physical AI meets the Robotic Hand. Talking with Dr. Junghee Ryu, CEO of RLWRLD.
Q: How is the robotic hand trained, and what makes RLWRLD's training approach different from teleoperation-based data collection?
RLWRLD uses vast-scale data from real human actions captured in industry environments to extract skeleton data and train the model, reducing reliance on expensive teleoperation. This creates more representative training data and speeds up learning for action generation.
Dexterity night in San Francisco: Physical AI meets the Robotic Hand. Talking with Dr. Junghee Ryu, CEO of RLWRLD.
Q: Why is a five-fingered hand important for dexterity, and how does it impact real-world applications?
A five-finger hand aligns with the natural human-hand environment, enabling the robot to handle a broad range of objects and tasks in factories and labs. This design supports more nuanced manipulation, better interaction with tools and objects, and a foundation for scalable dexterity in real-world settings.
Dexterity night in San Francisco: Physical AI meets the Robotic Hand. Talking with Dr. Junghee Ryu, CEO of RLWRLD.
Q: Please share your professional journey before joining RLWRLD and what led you to this project.
I started as a serial entrepreneur in Korea, building a background in computer vision at Olaworks, which was acquired by Intel. After gaining industry experience and investing in early-stage technology ventures, I returned to entrepreneurship and founded RLWRLD to focus on dexterity-enabled AI powered by a multi-disciplinary team across Korea and East Asia.
Xi's Forever Purge. The real goal behind China's Self Revolution. Talking with Shengyu Wang.
Q: Are purges simply a part of the communist system, or is there a more nuanced mechanism at work under Xi's leadership?
Purges are framed as a tool of governance to extinguish internal dissent, but the guest explains a deeper, self-reinforcing system (self-revolution) where the party disciplines itself across all levels, creating a centralized operating system aimed at long-term stability and control.
What They Stole: A familicide rooted in intercountry adoption. Talking with author Paige Towers.
Q: How did you approach researching a case with such sensitive details?
I balanced documentary evidence with interviews from people close to the family, carefully navigating private records and public reporting to present a clear, responsible narrative that acknowledges the harm without sensationalizing it.
