  • More Valuable Than Most Courses or Coaching

I’ve been running my e-commerce store for almost 10 years, and I’ve taken courses, hired coaches—you name it. But this podcast? It delivers just as much value, if not more. Susan shares strategies and tips that are clear, actionable, and immediately useful. She breaks it all down in a way that feels approachable but still super smart. I look forward to every episode and always leave with something I can apply to my business right away.

317: This Artist Narrowed Her Focus, And Quadrupled Her Sales
Q: What's your long-term goal for the business, and what would a year from now look like?
The goal is to have integrated, efficient systems across marketing, sales, and operations so I can focus on creativity and life outside the business, with sales continuing to grow as a byproduct of that foundation.
317: This Artist Narrowed Her Focus, And Quadrupled Her Sales
Q: How did you get your first sale after launching the Shopify store?
I started with social media and personal networks, then joined the Inner Circle and implemented the training, which helped generate the initial momentum leading to the first sale in March after a February launch.
317: This Artist Narrowed Her Focus, And Quadrupled Her Sales
Q: When you decided to pivot, did you stop trade shows entirely?
Yes, I cut off trade shows to pivot toward building a Shopify store and a direct-to-consumer brand, using data to guide the new path.
317: This Artist Narrowed Her Focus, And Quadrupled Her Sales
Q: What were you doing before pivoting to focus on your own wallpaper brand, and were you exclusively wallpaper or doing other pattern designs?
I designed for many products, not just wallpaper. I sold pattern designs for stationary and fabric among other things before deciding to pivot fully to my own wallpaper brand and focus on Shopify.
306: Jen Isn't Making Enough Profit
Q: What do you think is the source of the problem with your profitability?
Jen feels she is doing the right things but isn't seeing results, questioning if she should continue.
