It’s great to have a personal connection to your guests, but that’s not the point. Get your guests talking and playing more. Ask more questions, and work on speaking audio quality.
This show is 100% “as described” and it’s fantastic. Shane is an amazing musician and generous human being for letting us into his world. As a host, you can feel his kindness and sincere appreciation for the talent and achievements of each guest. I imagine Shane has deep curiosity and insightful yet casual conversation with or without this show.
