Since 2018, former film school friends Gali, Devlin, Patrick and Matt have tried to distil the essence of their myriad bleary, late night, free-flowing, probably bullsh*t-laden formative movie conversations almost 20 years ago, as they cast their eyes back to former favourites, cult curiosities, and ubiquitous cultural trash alike.

I’ve been through many, many other movie podcasts trying to find the same level of expertise, humility, humour and keen analysis exhibited by these fine fellows… and there’s no comparison. There’s a natural flow to their conversations that never feels wooden or scripted, and yet they manage to cover so many different aspects of films and filmmaking in each episode. Great chats and great movie choices, always looking forward the next episode! Thank you guys!
Have listened to a lot of different podcasts over the years which look back and revisit old movies and none of them come close to this. Very funny with lots of good insights and memories from the hosts (and also the occasional Partridge reference - lovely stuff!). Would be great to be able to suggest movies for review. Anyway, it’s always a highlight when I see a new Rewind episode posted. Keep up the great work fellas.
Have only recently discovered this and have been listening to some early episodes.
That they’ve done a whole podcast on Freejack is great.
Highly recommend.
I’m quite demanding when it comes to my film podcasts. They must be hosted with genuine chemistry and have a very good knowledge of the films covered and the industry. I have only listened to two episodes so far, Aliens and Predator, and I already know that I’m going to be listening to all of the others pretty quickly! A must listen for all film fans who demand a bit more from their podcasts!
