I really enjoyed the first episode of this podcast. Instead of ranking movies or doing a deep dive on Hollywood drama, this podcast is reflecting on one person’s most rewatched movies of the last 20 years. And the host, Jane, has watched a lot of movies. The Mary Poppins episode covers some history of the movie, Jane’s memories of watching it 14 times, and why it’s a movie that continues to resonate. I may be biased but this was such a delight. Jane's got a great podcast voice, their memories about the movies are very fun to listen to, and their appreciation for movies and special features is so dang charming and relatable to a film geek like me. This is just a great little show if you want to share memories and feelings about movies you love and get a valuable perspective on filmic tropes from an aroace person. An excellent experience all around.
