  • Going downhill…

I used to like this podcast and had it in my regular line up. Then three things happened recently that caused me to drop it from my listening cue… first, they brought in another host, or brought him back, which doesn’t add much to the conversation, just adds more small talk and makes the show less interesting. Second, Lacey had changed her tone and lot. She used to be cool and interesting but now she’s just kind of annoying… her obsession with Ben Solo drives me nuts and her rating The Mandalori... more

  • Nice to see James back!

I’ve been a long-time listener of the Resistance Broadcast since around the time of TFA. However, after James left I’d come back for the series specific episodes, but eventually just kind of fell off. Not having that third voice and opinion of James (whose takes are sometimes wild, but always insightful) it just felt like there was something missing. So today just out of the blue, and with Mando and Grogu just days away, I decided to pop back in and see what Lacey and John’s thoughts are leading... more

  • By Star Wars Fans, For Star Wars Fans

TRB has quickly become one of my favorite Star Wars podcasts. The conversations are fun and often insightful. They’re enthusiastic yet always organic. It’s a must for fans of the Galaxy Far, Far Away.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

I’m Just Maul! MAUL Shadow Lord Episodes 3 & 4 Spoiler Review & Discussion
Q: Who are we more likely to see from the Empire, Tarkin or Vader?
The group acknowledges Vader as a perennial wildcard who could steal focus, but they also consider Vader's potential impact if introduced too early, suggesting a balance between fan excitement and narrative tension. The consensus leans toward Vader as the more dramatic cross-over, while noting that overuse could overshadow Maul, so any appearance would need careful integration.
Grogu Had to Memorize ZERO Lines for 'The Mandalorian And Grogu'
Q: Will we see Ahsoka meet Luke in the live-action timeline, and how might that be shown?
They speculate it could happen in Ahsoka Season 2, possibly as a flashback or a scene where Anakin or Luke interact with Ahsoka, but it would likely be implied rather than shown explicitly in the current film run.
Grogu Had to Memorize ZERO Lines for 'The Mandalorian And Grogu'
Q: What moment do you think will make audiences exclaim in the theater if Grogu doesn't speak?
The group leans toward a significant visual moment like Grogu wielding or interacting with a lightsaber or a major force-based moment, paired with an emotional musical swell to leave a lasting impression.
Grogu Had to Memorize ZERO Lines for 'The Mandalorian And Grogu'
Q: Why do you think original trilogy characters haven't received full animation treatment like Clone Wars-era characters?
The hosts agree it would be valuable to explore OG characters in animation to fill gaps in the narrative between film installments, suggesting a potential OG three-way animated series or miniseries to expand their stories.
Mando & Grogu Carving New Paths for Mandalorians and Jedi In Upcoming Movie
Q: Will Lucasfilm show a special sneak peek of Starfighter at Celebration LA?
The hosts split, with one arguing there will likely be some promotional material or a short teaser, while the other doubts they'd release full material at Celebration, preferring controlled premieres elsewhere.
