At times I fee like they are watching a totally different show. I can’t take all the Luke bias. Talk about the romanticization of masculinity. These ladies have really idealized Luke as a "hero" or "savior" figure, rather than critically evaluating his behavior. Their other character analysis is always wrong, they focus on the most insignificant details & never really hit the nail on the head. If you’re looking for amazing insight and in-depth analysis, this is not the show for you. I wish i co... more
This THT podcast falls short for me. I bit overly snarky comments about Nick in particular gets old. It’s clear they have a strong bias in regards to this character and it shows in how they form their analysis’ and misreading characters sometimes. I find some of the other podcasts more respectful and objective. And overall, I think they miss out on a lot of key subtleness and even big moments. I like their political commentary though.
This one is 50/50 for me. It is hard to listen to at times because they don’t seem to focus on some of the more important details and themes of the show. Not everyone is as analytical as I am I guess. They can be political at times, which is also a turn off for me. You can tell they have certain biases toward certain characters and it affects their analysis of the show. Overall, it’s entertaining but don’t expect an in-depth deep dive.
Too much focus on unimportant details. Total misread of many scenes or they are flipped to fit their agenda. Too much Luke love, I’m just not a fan of subtitle misogyny, bulling, belittling & forced character narratives. Frustrating listen.
I love this trio of smart & salty women & their observations & reactions to the show. Always enjoy their take on what’s going down in Gilead!
