  • Great pod but…

I love this pod esp because of Sarah Cox. She’s such a natural ❤️Esp like the listeners’ choices as I always come away with lots of ideas for new books.

Totally unnecessary and utterly distracting. Please stop! Let’s just listen to the guest without annoying layered noise! Thank you. Apart from this, it’s s... more

'Yesteryear' by Caro Claire Burke
Q: Have you asked if you can be best friends with Anne Hathaway and go to her house?
Burke humorously responds that such a collaboration would be wonderful in theory, but nothing is confirmed, and she remains excited about the potential casting.
'Yesteryear' by Caro Claire Burke

There is a script in the works and the team is passionate about bringing the story to screen, with Anne Hathaway considered for a leading role, signaling strong adaptation interest.

Q: Introduce us to Natalie and set up the story, please.
Natalie Heller Mills is a heroine who builds a large online presence by selling a pioneer fantasy, then unexpectedly wakes up in the time period she has obsessively imagined, forcing her to navigate back to the modern day while dealing with personal and societal expectations.
'Under Water' by Tara Menon
Q: How did the tsunami and the natural world shape the research process behind the novel?
I read survivor accounts and journalism from the period, watched tsunami YouTube videos, and studied animal life in both New York and Thailand to ground the narrative in authentic detail, while also navigating the emotional weight of the events during writing.
'Under Water' by Tara Menon
Q: Set up the story, if you will, of Underwater for us, please.
The book centers on Marissa and Arielle, two girls growing up on a Thai island where a tsunami profoundly alters their lives, and it moves forward through Marissa's memories and grief while juxtaposing that trauma with natural world imagery and later events like Hurricane Sandy.
