Placebo Magick Podcast

Durmak, Wizard of Habdur

The Placebo Magick Podcast explores theatrical spiritual practice for skeptical atheists: why and how to cast spells, brew potions, commune with spirits, and hack the human brain all while understanding that magick isn't real. • Recommended for my woowoo friends!

I’m a “conscious dating coach” — a buzzphrase for the type of love-life coach who teaches mindfulness and some New Agey practices for dating. This podcast validates my perspective on “manifesting” and my approach to rituals that really speak to me (but that I know don’t have any direct effect on reality). Thank you! Also, I’m Jewish and I don’t mind the Bible talk (which usually annoys me). Great job 👍

  • Creative, fun and useful!

What an enjoyable listen! Up until now, “spiritual” practices have often proved elusive or counterproductive for me, often leading to guilty feelings and other negative emotions. The framework presented in these podcasts has made a big difference and I see myself actually having fun with times of intention, meditation etc. Big recommend!

  • I was trying to explain

I was trying to explain my being an atheist sorcerer to my friends. This has been like a second home for me. This guy really speaks my language!

  • Magick starts with science and vice versa

My musings and internet research on the placebo effect laid the foundation for this new and intense interest in Magick... This podcast was intantly "good enough." I will come back and say more after I listen to it all... And I want to, so, that should be "good enough" for YOU!

  • Referred Through Atheopaganism on FB - Loved Ep 1

Definitely will continue to listen in! As a teenager I had started creating my own language and episode one made me want to go back to it. Metaphorical magic is something I can definitely dive into and I look forward to trying to revitalize my daily and seasonal rituals into something I can share with others. more
