The OutCast is a great mix of shop-talk for filmmaking, discussions of the societal / cultural significance of film & media, plus contextualizing within the growing and evolving diaspora of LGBTQ content and culture. They get amazing guests like Laverne Cox to Bob-Shangela-Eureka to Jonathan Groff to Justin Simien. David Kittredge is the perfect host; always well-researched, articulate, enthusiastic, and unpretentious. The OutCast is a triumph for and gift to the LGBTQ+ and ally community.
Fun, engaging and informative, the various LGBTQ directors, storytellers and performers featured alongside host David Kittredge weave together past and present LGBTQ cinematic creations and contributions. Wouldn't have expected any less from Outfest! Incredible podcast, wonderful interviews and incredibly relatable content for any film nerd. So excited to see something like this kicked off during a time where we're all staying home.
The second I heard Miss Coco Peru’s voice say the words “standing amongst the debris” in her episode, I knew I was hooked. These are great, in-depth discussions with some extremely exciting queer media luminaries. Can’t wait for more!
Great conversations with queer filmmakers, this is what I have been needing. Glad this podcast exists now ✨
