  • Really good listening…

The podcasts are terrific… and hearing stories of people who didn’t win but came close… really interesting.

Will you do something on Peter Thomson? (He won 5 opens). His approach to golf/life was remarkable; acceptance of his ‘cards’, simplicity, rational, humble (but not falsely so)... always with a laugh. (He played 30 Opens and responded to admirers who asked about the 5 wins… said “well I lost 25”).

Anyway there are great stories out there about this man…

Q: Robert, I know the conditions were tough this morning in particular, but are you surprised that the scoring has been so high?
Not in the end, as we saw, because the wind did pick up. It was there from the very first thing this morning, but then late morning to early afternoon, it really picked up.
