Nordstrom is my favorite store, it’s one of the few department type stores that isn’t corporate owned anymore. Family owned which I appreciate so much, they are very generous also in supporting animal rescues in the Seattle area. They support other causes too and it really does seem like they care about their customers. Contrary to what some think, they do also carry affordable items.

I really enjoy this podcast, I find it interesting and I am not really interested in business things. It’s easy... more

Success hinges on choosing the right partners who share the brand DNA, spending time with brand managers, and having a transparent, collaborative process to ensure each touchpoint mirrors the core values and quality of the brand.
Ep 107. Mattel CEO, Ynon Kreiz: More Than a Toy Company
Q: But how did you think about measuring success for this IP-driven strategy and film partnerships?

Ep 106. Southwest Airlines CEO, Bob Jordan: The Heart Connection
Q: How does Southwest measure whether service is working beyond traditional metrics?
Net Promoter Score is used but not as the sole indicator; effective handling of disruptions, empathetic communication, and personalized service at touchpoints are equally or more important, often yielding higher loyalty when problems are resolved well.
Ep 106. Southwest Airlines CEO, Bob Jordan: The Heart Connection
Q: What shaped Southwest's culture and the emphasis on serving others over self?
The leadership focus on a nine-value framework, a golden-rule culture, hospitality, and a commitment to serving both customers and colleagues drives the culture, reinforced by real, visible actions from employees who embody care and humanity in day-to-day interactions.
Ep 102. Kyle MacLachlan: The Gift That Keeps on Giving
Q: So, how do you define success?
I think if there are even a handful of roles that I look back on and go, well, I'm proud of that, I'm proud of that one.
