  • Great guests, horrendous host

The pod has on some great guests and the opportunity for good conversations, but shoots itself in the foot with a host that seems allergic to nuance and deep thought. She never misses an opportunity to be dismissive or interrupt and frequently seems unprepared to discuss anything at an intellectual level. Makes me want to avoid all things Puck if this is their best and brightest

Molly Simms and Leandra Medine Cohen episodes were especially bad, out of touch. The host, and guests like these, don’t seem concerned or curious about anything outside their bubbles of expensive clothes. Not politics, not language, not other forms of art, not even how to pronounce other people’s names. Fashion, and being fashionable, is inextricably linked to all those things

  • Bring back real journalism

Was excited to listen to the Morgan Stewart episode but stopped halfway through because the host didn’t watch or even know who was on the show with Morgan. The show that brought Morgan to the forefront & where most people know her from. The host could have watched clips on YouTube before the interview. Lazy journalism & her vocal fry is irritating.

  • Shhhh

As so many have said the guests are superb and I really want to hear from them but sadly the host cannot get out of the way. Whether at a dinner party or a pod, a great host gives their guests the spotlight. Sadly the host never learned the basics interviewing — and in virtually every episode she takes up so much time, frequently telling her guest she unfortunately doesn’t have enough time for them to talk about some fascinating topic but then chattering in and on about herself. Listen perhaps ... more
