Most of the guests are fascinating. The host needs some media training at the very least.
I have tried so many times. But the recent episodes with Marisa Meltzer, Chris Black, confirm for me that if I ever see any of these people on a byline, the content is to be avoided. The 2025 year in review episode was particularly embarrassing. I hope Jacob Gallagher has enough self respect to never return to this podcast. Hey, I like this show! Editorial, reported, timely guests. Opinions are strong. One of the better (sneaky) media shows too.
I find the fashion world interesting as a creative practitioner, and the premise of the pod is great, but somehow every episode I vow to be my last because the conversation turns out to be about what the host is buying. It comes off very tone deaf and elitist. I think people listen to this to get insights and journalistic reporting but the host thinks the audience is here for her wardrobe as if she’s some kind of influencer. It’s really a turn off.
