While Alex obviously researches the movies, and seems to have a wider breadth of knowledge than just cramming from wikipedia and imdb, Vinnie and especially Brad haven’t even seen that many movies, and are approaching it as new viewers who are getting to discover a lot of films for the first time. While I appreciate the detail they go into in the movies they’re discussing, there’s far too much SJW troping and this is coming from an old school liberal person. For instance, just listened to the demolition man episode and we got these guys editing their own version of the movie to remove an Asian joke, and having to bring up and bemoan racial protesting and how this film wouldn’t be right to make these days, knock the film for AIDS fear mongering, and give Sly a pat on the back for respectin... more
