  • Would give 5 were it not for ad read issue

My goto daily email. Like the cast. However, the way you read the ads is scammy feeling. It’s accepted convention to say something like and now a word from our sponsor. The way you do it leaves me confused at first and irked thereafter. So now I have a negative feeling associated with Whisper Flow, likely not what they want?

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Internet Needs Proof You’re Human
Q: For someone who might be completely unfamiliar, what is World ID and how does it work?
World ID is Proof of Human, a system that creates a virtual, privacy-preserving passport for the internet. You download an app, verify at a physical location via an orb, and receive a credential that proves you are a real, unique human. This credential is used in a privacy-preserving way across apps, with different verification levels and on-device processing so data never leaves your device.
What Comes After GPUs? Great Sky’s Bet on Brain-Like AI
Q: What are the near-term commercialization paths for this technology?
The company envisions three main paths: deployments for high-value workloads (e.g., fusion sensor data analysis), hosted cloud access where users run jobs on Great Sky chips, and partnerships with hyperscalers for on-prem and data-center deployments that dramatically accelerate inference and enable new business models.
What Comes After GPUs? Great Sky’s Bet on Brain-Like AI
Q: Can you train and run language models on this hardware, and what kind of speed gains are demonstrated?
Yes, they are training and running language models on their hardware, with exploratory results showing roughly 100x speed improvements for certain models (around 100 million parameters) compared to conventional GPUs, albeit on smaller-scale models during early development.
BONUS: Building Real-Time AI Voice Agents with LiveKit's Ben Cherry
Q: What are practical, small-business use cases for voice agents?
Examples include 24/7 receptionist capabilities for scheduling or inquiries, and drive-through ordering with accurate recognition and seamless tool integration, which provide a competitive edge and improved customer experience.
BONUS: Building Real-Time AI Voice Agents with LiveKit's Ben Cherry
Q: Can you run a voice agent locally or on a developer machine?
Yes, the agent can run on the developer's machine and still utilize cloud-hosted models; LiveKit supports local models and cloud-backed inference, enabling development offline or on-premises while connected to LiveKit Cloud.
