Brilliant podcast. Smart, funny, and full of great chat. Can’t wait for it to begin exploring the video Nasties after giving us such a great scene setting first 4 episodes. The Marks have fantastic chemistry and make every episode feel effortless. Easy five stars!
Bad reviews are disappearing. We know why. This is an amateur production & has been done much better many, many times before.
Really terrific exploration of the video nasty hysteria, giving cultural context of the era and then looking at key texts. One sober analyst and one cultural firebrand make for a good listening pair who contrast nicely. A great bit of film history.
Really interesting podcast about censorship, video nasties and beyond. Lots of insightful knowledge, and most importantly, delivered in an entertaining way. Not just dry facts and film reviews, the presenters relate it back to their own personal experiences and memories of the events being discussed. Very much looking forward to continuing this journey over the next however many weeks…
I think if you are going to do a podcast about video nasties then you have to have seen more that 11 of them. Also “Faces Of Fear”? There are better podcasts out there than this on the 1984 scandal.
