  • Clear-headed Storycraft

I am benefitting from the Mythcreant website most of all because it contains so much helpful craft content. I already know how to put together a novel, but Mythcreants’ posts still help, even though I don’t write fantasy or sci-fi. The content is sound, lucid, and reflects a deep understanding of narratology.

I also enjoy the podcast! I’m just a readaholic who is usually hunting for specific information that I can find by skimming, clicking, and taking notes.

  • Good Content, Less Than Optimal Audio Quality

Love the website, the articles, the content—my only issue with this podcast is the audio quality. I’ve tried adjusting my car speakers, I’ve played out loud on my phone, used my best headphones and my jbl earbuds and it’s the same issues. For those who aren’t tortured with acute hearing like me, this probably won’t matter to you. But for others like me, I pray the podcasters will take my review into account (rare, but it can happen), put it through some audio editing (like a de-esser, for exampl... more

  • Helpful and funny

I started listening to them in 2020 and check up with new episodes every few weeks - currently working on a new novel and I really feel, that I know better how to check for plot holes, character karma and logical (thought through) character decisions. I can especially recommend everything about structure in storytelling - it helps a lot in the long run and it’s always good fun to listen to them :>.

  • Would you like a cup of depression?

Big, holistic gulp - come sit down and listen, because I promise you, no matter how disillusioned you are we can take it a step further.

Who doesn’t want more people in their lives to take them for a ride? To point at every pothole and then drive right over them yelling, “Told you!!!”

Come! Hop on this lame horse and make sure you equip your Mythcreant Saddle of Soulless Commentary, it pins your feet to the ears and your face just beneath the tail - giddy up!
