As a fan of ‘Fred the Head’ and ‘The Gentleman of Heligoland’ I am already very impressed with Ken Davies’ approach to narrative. There is no melodrama or exaggeration - just thorough investigation and a determination to let events speak for themselves. Really intriguing story and kudos, Ken, for solving this more than 50 year old enigma… Brilliant work!
Intro and outro music is jarringly loud.
Big turn off. Knocks you out of your chair.
Easily fixable.
And enough to make me scroll on.
Overall sound design is odd. It’d very dry but has a slight ring to it so I’m constantly adjusting it up/down. Up/down.
It’s frustrating.
Fred the head was similar as the narrator has a mannered speech and isn’t constant.
I would hope he could get with a pro audio engineer and sort these issues out.
Then we can concentrate on the story.
