  • Fabulous fashion podcast

This is a very interesting Podcast. I most enjoyed the Person Place Thing episode. I admire the way that Valerie “held her ground” when she was pushed by her interviewer into his own extrapolations. She eloquently describes and explains her views. Bravo! (And I happen to share some of the same affinities).

  • Long awaited!

I’m so happy to have a podcast that talks about fashion in a serious way, combining art, history, technology, and anthropology, from my alma mater no less. The Museum always hosts the most interesting talks, we’re so lucky that they are now sharing them with the listening public. My only wish is if it were at all possible to provide transcripts for deaf or hard of hearing audience members. I’m HoH and could barely hear Stefano Tonchi in the Thom Browne episode.

Olivier Rousteing in Conversation with Valerie Steele
Q: What kind of internships would you recommend for becoming a creative director?
Whatever internship you get, if you like the house, if you like the vision, go there. You never always get the best internship at the beginning but keep your eyes open.
Olivier Rousteing in Conversation with Valerie Steele
Q: What advice would you offer to someone who is discouraged at the slow pace of inclusion and diversity in the fashion world?
You need to be patient. Inclusivity will win. It's really slow, and sometimes, it goes backwards, but I can tell you, it will move forward because we always win when there is love.
Television's Most Stylish Shows with Hal Rubenstein | Fashion Culture
Q: What was your favorite designer in the 80s?
Gianni Versace, for his boldness and understanding of sexuality in fashion.
Sustainable Solutions: Circularity in Fashion Businesses | Fashion Culture
Q: How do companies balance this transition with maintaining economic health and stability?
Brands that invest in sustainability can expect serious brand equity and customer respect, impacting their long-term financial health positively.
Simon Porte Jacquemus | Fashion Culture
Q: What advice do you have for the fashion students and other students out here?
My best advice is no advice because if you start to lie to yourself or you're not sincere with yourself, at the end of the day, you will not be happy.
