  • Thank you for a great resource!

Thank you Richelle for producing a podcast that is not only super educational, but supportive of a diverse population. It’s really refreshing to hear from so many different voices that represent different populations. I feel like you also do a great job representing people trying to move abroad who don’t have a lot of or retirement money. It’s really rare to have someone bringing that level of positivity, optimism, and encouragement when, in other spaces, you just get a lot of negativity and why... more

  • Loans?

Telling people to take out loans for your bootcamp is insane and financially irresponsible. I’m referring to the episode on July 16, 2026. I used to really like the tips from this podcast, but it has morphed into a constant sales pitch.

  • Editing is your friend

Episodes could use some editing. They’re so long, but all the information is repeated multiple times. For example, in nearly every single episode we hear about the host moving to China with a language program. We get it.

  • White wine

I feel in love with this podcast when I thought it was inspiring me to take the steps to move abroad. I wish it was more explorative in very specific countries right down to large and small cities. Anyway I hear a few gems and I hear a ton of “me me me, it’s hard to be me and I’m so busy building an empire that I want you to buy, my next trick is coming out soon”. I’m just a Lyft driver in America with a dream and sometimes the range of her voice drives passengers to a cringe, but I have to say... more

  • Editing would help

It’s giving me in middle school in my closet with a tape recorder. Got about one minute of very useful info about countries with tax-friendly policies and available visas. Everything else was pretty rambling and/or repetitive. I have no doubt that she has a vast wealth of knowledge on this subject that I’d love to hear! But I think more planning of what to cover and more editing would be super helpful.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#171 Passive Income That's Actually Passive (Make It Once, Get Paid for Years)
Q: How feasible is this for someone starting today?
If you follow a structured approach and build foundational assets, people can go from zero to meaningful monthly income within 12–18 months, with potential for much higher earnings as designs scale and become evergreen assets.
#171 Passive Income That's Actually Passive (Make It Once, Get Paid for Years)
Q: Why choose Zazzle over more popular marketplaces like Etsy?
Zazzle offers real-time customization, in-house fulfillment, and no listing or store fees, plus a built-in system for royalties and affiliate payouts. This combination reduces back-and-forth with customers and streamlines profit margins.
#171 Passive Income That's Actually Passive (Make It Once, Get Paid for Years)
Q: What exactly is print on demand in your model, and what would someone be creating to sell on Zazzle?
You design templates that can be placed on hundreds or thousands of products; customers customize these templates themselves, which generates royalties for you without handling physical inventory or shipping. The focus is on scalable, customizable designs housed on a platform that handles fulfillment.
#173 You Don't Need to Match Your US Salary to Move Abroad
Q: If somebody says they need to match their current six-figure salary to move abroad, what would you tell them?
Start by choosing the destination, then crunch the numbers to see what you actually need. Often you can achieve the life you want with substantially less income than you imagine, especially when you factor in lower cost of living, different healthcare costs, and fewer big expenses like car ownership.
#166 She Moved to France at 40 and Took Her Reality TV Career With Her
Q: Tell me what your life looked like before and how does it look now, now that you're in France?
Ali describes a family-centered life in Denver with strong ties, a long-distance relationship that sparked the possibility of living in Europe, and a progressive shift toward remote work in TV post-production. Since moving to Lille, France, she's building a life with her dog, pursuing writing, and sustaining her work through a hybrid model that blends post-production with writing and a focus on getting settled (housing, health care, banking) while exploring opportunities in Spain later if desired.
