I was reading David Pye’s book and found this podcast in which they went through it chapter by chapter. It really helped be digest the information in the book. I have absolutely fallen in love with this podcast and have gone back to the beginning and started listening to all of them. Part craft talk and part philosophy. I recreate Shaker furniture (as best as my skill set allows anyway) and these guys strike a deep chord with me. Thank you! Keep up the good work Gents!
Thanks for your efforts

Sitting in my cellar keeping the fire burning for family sleeping upstairs, listening to M&T while carving up some red oak from my firewood whilst sipping a cheap cup of coffee. What could be better. Keep it up men. I love listening to this show while driving to work as a carpenter every day for an hour. Keep the soul of the craft and appreciation of history coming.

PS: i would kill my tablesaw if i didn't need it for (paid) work.
I used to listen but the episodes on Pye turned me off completely. Too much Pye.

Unabashed nerds, liable to give you a light case of intellectual whiplash as they dance from topic to seemingly unrelated topic while radiating joy for craft, wood, life, and each other. I feel like I’m watching through a hole in their shop wall as their excitement naturally effervesces through the course of their deep everyday friendship. I wish I lived in Maine, and I wish I had 26 hours in a day like Bohr—2 extra to buy and read every book the... more
