  • Toronto Today Rocks!!

Greg Brady provides Toronto’s only invaluable source for news and information in the morning. The show makes one laugh and think at the same time. The guests are a fascinating mix of subject matter experts, and the show is truly interactive as calls are taken most days. As a long time listener of morning sports radio, I have transferred to GNR AM 640 every morning from 5:30am to 9:00am.

  • Made the Switch

I have been a 590 listener for the two decades I've lived in the GTA. A month ago I made the switch five clicks up the dial to 640 for my long morning commutes. I'm glad I did.

Greg Brady and Supriya Dwivedi are excellent hosts. The Morning Show is informative and entertaining. Wide ranging topics: current events, news, sports, politics. Greg Brady has a solid perspective and is knowledgable. Good guests.

    Give it a try.

  • Great addition to my list

Generally a Radio One listener but a friend recently turned me on to 640. Genuinely enjoy the interviews with Greg. Gets to the point but respectful to guests. Good add to my daily news podcasts.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Billy Bishop Blowback
Q: Do they want it more than the provincial government?
Greg suggests that the federal players may be more invested, but stresses the lack of a clear local business plan and the need for government accountability.
Is the World Cup not for residents?
Q: What would you like to see in sponsorships and civic involvement to make this a more inclusive experience?
Better engagement with local businesses, transparent sponsorship reporting, and messaging that emphasizes participation and shared joy rather than top-down control would help create a more positive, inclusive atmosphere.
Is the World Cup not for residents?
Q: Do you think Toronto benefits financially or socially from hosting similar events?
Economists generally find that major international events are not money-makers for cities; the value is more in the experience and branding, but the reality is often a balancing act between cost, sponsorship, and actual community benefit.
Is the World Cup not for residents?
Q: What's your read on the city's advertising during the World Cup—does it invite people downtown or discourage them?
The messaging seems to push residents away from downtown by implying it'll be too busy or disruptive, which could sour the vibe for local businesses and undermine the goal of a city-wide celebration.
Could Alberta Really Leave Canada?
Q: How big is the presence of former premier and former prime minister in talking to Albertans, and do they endorse one side or the other?
They are expected to stay mostly quiet to avoid cramping the political narrative, with public endorsements likely limited to strategic guidance rather than active campaigning.
