  • In-depth Analysis with one small improvement.

Alex Gruskin is very involved with the daily movements of both professional tours, Challenger events and even collegiate players that look promising on their rise to the top. Cussing gives a realistic perspective and adult conversation on talent at the professional level. It’s not a tennis match, it’s a tennis podcast and you feel that. The one small improvement I feel that can be made is the intro and outro music can overshadow Alex’s voice, which if that is intentional then by all means. I fee... more

  • Curses too much

Good content except I don’t understand why you have to say the f word so much during a tennis podcast- it’s a bit amateurish.

  • Lots of episodes

I like that this podcast produces episodes during the off season and that there was an emergency episode covering breaking tennis news. I enjoy the ATP and WTA based commentary the most. I like the host’s enthusiasm. I enjoyed the guest episodes with Gil Gross and Ben Rothenberg.

  • Too much preamble for my liking. I don't like slow starting podcasts. I sat down for dinner to hear some analysis on his "top ten" atp players after the us open 2025, and I finished eating before he even began analyzing. It's advertisements on top of stating obvious facts (who won what, which we already know) rather than getting to the analysis. Just my honest take.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

The Biggest ATP Questions FT. Gill Gross
Q: Who is the strongest argument to be the next 'next up' after Alcaraz/Sinner?
The hosts discuss multiple candidates, with a leaning toward Arthur Feast as the closest in terms of athletic profile and current trajectory, while also acknowledging strong cases for Fonseca, Mensik, and Hodar depending on how their physical and technical tools mature.
The Biggest ATP Questions FT. Gill Gross
Q: Does Arthur Feast belong in the next-up conversation?
Yes, Feast is considered a serious contender among the younger group due to athletically matching the top players and showing clear development since returning from injury, making him a plausible candidate to challenge the established stars.
How Penn Took the Next Step in 2026 ft. Head Coach Rich Bonfiglio
Q: How is NIL affecting recruiting at an Ivy League school like Penn?
NIL has an impact but is less straightforward here; the school leverages branding and long-term value of a Penn degree, while staying mindful of Ivy League scholarship constraints and evolving policies.
How Penn Took the Next Step in 2026 ft. Head Coach Rich Bonfiglio
Q: What's more difficult, recruiting players or recruiting fans to the matches?
Both are intertwined; winning helps fan turnouts, but genuine buy-in from players and building a positive, engaging program also drives attendance and support.
How Penn Took the Next Step in 2026 ft. Head Coach Rich Bonfiglio
Q: What takes longer to fix, the tennis side or the culture side of the program?
He argues culture is the toughest thing to build, and that developing a strong culture precedes and amplifies on-court success, with continuous work from players and staff.
