Excellent and incisive analysis of the game, if you like details regarding strategy (I do!) this is your podcast. A comment about seeing the great Rafa Nadal back on clay in Barcelona. I now realize how small he makes the court look unlike any other. Thankful to see him back!
Gill’s analysis is uniquely insightful, thoughtful, and measured. Been listening for over a year and I’m not sure I’ve missed an episode. He’s rare in sport podcasting generally as he’s pretty neutral about all the players and I really think that helps his analysis. Also appreciate how he doesn’t get caught up in the drama of the tour unless it’s unavoidable. His approach is highly professional and intelligent without ever approaching condescension. I’m excited everytime I see a new episode drop... more
Gill thank you for the Nadal Alcaraz LV recap! You may underestimate your audience power! I even ordered the audiobook that you enjoyed on your roadtrip though I have read the book many times since it was published. Appreciate the insiders view of tennis, bravo!

He regularly engages with his audience to determine what content we want to hear about and goes beyond coverage of tennis techniques and tactics etc. to include other topics that impact the sport as a whole, players and even tennis fans/audience. I was beginning to think there wasn’t a proper, analytical, unbiased tennis podcast out there. So pleased to have discovered this show. Genuin... more
