  • Ciao for now

Excellent knowledge of the game and I really enjoy the analysis. Love it even more if no use of the F word. You are an educated person and can use a lot of other words. Just my thoughts! Thanks for what you do!

  • shame on espn

thank you for explaining that espn was charging MORE $$ to stream ALL the courts of the AO. i have had espn + for years and could not understand what was happening suddenly , when i could not watch all the matches. As a tennis fan, i buy espn + specifically for tennis. Now, they want us to pay MORE ????? NO way. SHAME on espn. everyone should be outraged. keep it up Gil - fight for us !!! I may cancel my espn membership as a sign of my outrage.

  • Best tennis podcast

Gill’s is by far the best of all the tennis podcasts. His knowledge of the sport and the players is so impressive yet he has a way of presenting it that’s easy to digest regardless of the listener’s level of technical tennis expertise. Not to mention he has a completely unpretentious personality that makes listening to him an absolute pleasure.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Sebastian Korda Resurgence, with Coach Ryan Harrison | Monday Match Analysis
Q: How did the Mevadev (Medvedev) match influence your strategy against Alcaraz?
Watching Medvedev's approach helped identify transferable ideas—defending the front of the court, using transition tennis, and applying pressure in the right moments—to prevent Alcaraz from dictating too much.”
Sebastian Korda Resurgence, with Coach Ryan Harrison | Monday Match Analysis
Q: What did you make of Carlos Alcaraz's comments that everybody turns into Roger Federer against him?
I think it's a reflection of the pressures he faces and the balance he's trying to strike with the media. It's about managing expectations while still playing at a high level, and it's something Sebi prepared for by focusing on how to disrupt Alcaraz's rhythm and force him into uncomfortable situations.
Do Rackets Matter in Pro Tennis? | Monday Match Analysis ft. @Tennisnerd
Q: How do you approach the mental aspect of interacting with gear?
It's important to focus on playing the game rather than getting overly fixated on gear, as it can detract from performance.
Do Rackets Matter in Pro Tennis? | Monday Match Analysis ft. @Tennisnerd
Q: What do you think of that?
Yannick's racket is powerful but relatively light, which helps him control it despite its power.
Do Rackets Matter in Pro Tennis? | Monday Match Analysis ft. @Tennisnerd
Q: Do you think it's undercover?
Yes, mainstream media like Tennis Channel mentions gear in passing, but there is a significant interest that isn't fully explored.
