  • Ugh!

Please if you do go on vacation again, DO NOT, I repeat. DO NOT have Mo’Kelly fill in! I was on with suicide prevention twice! Finally they said either do it or turn off the show. When you’re gone cut the show to one hour. These hosts are not you, they can’t “fill in”, and all they do is fill dead air. And honestly, dead air would be preferable to Mo. Does he have a brother les’Kelley, that can take over? After I turned off the show I called my proctologist for a colonoscopy. I needed somethi... more

  • It’s too Harrison Bergeron!

This review program seems to have fits for long reviews, so I invite the reader to look up “Harrison Bergeron” by Kurt Vonnegut.

What ruins this podcast is the constant and sudden advertisements that interrupt the flow of discussion without warning, causing a state of distraction.

I don’t want to listen to podcasts governed by the Handicapper General. That’s a “Harrison Bergeron” reference.

  • Good info, annoying audio

First, Sarah Kendzior is a national treasure and I always make it a point to listen to her segments! She deserves all the apologies from the big-deal pundits who treated her and her podcast like histrionic little girls.

Regarding the audio: is it too much to ask that ads be timed at the end of a person’s sentence? I notice this phenomenon more and more in different shows, so this seems to be a generally accepted poor production value now, much to the detriment of show quality. The frequent scre... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Trump Leaves Funeral Speechless After Brutally Honest Eulogy for Lindsey Graham (7/29/26)
Q: Why is college so expensive in America?
Privatization and defunding cuts have driven up costs; subsidies and income-driven plans have been rolled back, making higher education less affordable for middle- and working-class students.
Trump Leaves Funeral Speechless After Brutally Honest Eulogy for Lindsey Graham (7/29/26)
Q: Why is teaching religion not indoctrination?
We should teach about religions to foster knowledge and understanding, and ensure students feel welcome as a minority or different family structures are represented, without turning classrooms into indoctrination.
Trump Refuses to Acknowledge GOP's Midterm Catastrophe (7/30/26)
Q: What are the legal repercussions if Mitch McConnell's incapacitation becomes a real scenario in the Senate?
Katz explains that while there would be significant procedural and political maneuvering, there may not be straightforward legal remedies; the Senate's control and state-level rules could complicate replacements, and any action would likely involve litigation and prolonged constitutional debates rather than a quick fix.
Trump's Social Media Fail Gives Jack Smith Brilliant Defense Argument (7/23/26)
Q: Do you see a legitimate legal route for the FCC to revoke licenses based on editorial decisions about airing a presidential address?
Not a strong legal route if framed as public interest; possibly stronger if the enforcement is tied to an ongoing, documented investigation, but the First Amendment would resist government punishment for editorial choices absent a clear, non-punitive rationale.
Trump's Social Media Fail Gives Jack Smith Brilliant Defense Argument (7/23/26)
Q: Professor Levinson, what is the FCC's actual purview when it comes to broadcast licenses and content decisions by affiliates?
The FCC's authority rests on public interest for scarce broadcast licenses; a First Amendment analysis would focus on whether the government is punishing editors for editorial choices, which could be unconstitutional if used to suppress viewpoints or deter certain content. The broader pattern of actions and prior cases should be considered to determine whether this is an isolated incident or part of a larger strategy.
