Light hearted & filled with personal anecdotes and amusing tangents, the Mariner Podcast shares the wealth of knowledge and experience accumulated by a sailor who has covered more miles on the world‘s oceans than the distance from the Earth to the Moon. Each episode, solo circumnavigator Chris Stanmore-Major, talks about all things sailing from how to flake a line and prepare a meal on a family cruising voyage to how to race through the Southern Ocean on an Open 60. Tune in today and escape back to where you really want to be- on the water.

I did my Safety at Sea course this last weekend and I was struck by how compressed the time was for the course- only 2 days or 8 hrs to learn a HUGE amount of info. more

Excellent run down on the history of nav ! Thanks for taking the time to create these podcasts. We are really enjoying and learning ....
Great podcast, you mentioned a logbook with 30 check points that you could buy, where can I get this?
Hey, Greg Tufan here - Kobago express - loving the new episodes and the short time btwn episodes. Anyway. “D” for “damage” was certainly helpful. I believe I was the source of “B” boat, which is a source of pride 🤗. I guess if u asked a 6 yr old to name something about sailing beginning with b, “boat” would be up there on the list. Well, I am smarter than a 5 yr old then... keep it going Chris. You have actual fans.
This podcast was exceptional and just chockablock with incredibly useful information. Chris’s high-energy delivery made it a blast to listen to on what would have otherwise been a long, mind numbing car ride. Rushing out to buy a pair of kitchen sheers and actively thinking of better ways to deploy water, sugar, and O2 in support of my own cruising crew! Thank you!
