Having completed ‘The Leviathan Chronicles’ I was eager to dive into the ‘Rapscallion Agency.’ The sound mix, however, was very poor :-( I found several passages of Episode 1 dialogue unintelligible, despite rewinding & slowing down. The vocals were mumbled and sometimes the background sounds drowned them out.
Worst voice acting I have ever heard in my entire life. And I listen to A LOT of audio dramas .
The benevolent Indian servant that brought up the rich white girl in the second episode, is an embarrassment. Some serious colonial writing. Of course he’s ’like family’
The main female character is insufferable. Not sure why we are supposed to be rooting for some rich arrogant girl with no redeemable qualities.
Seems that this podcast has died and turned into an advertisement platform as many other have.
Shockingly bad acting. Apart from the odd bits here & there, much of the conversations are robot-like reading from the script.
Still listened to the whole Podcast though as really enjoyed the story. Just such a shame about the acting. The narrator was very good though.
Perfect, except the last season. They branched off and did a season with two background characters. They’re in France it’s corny and badly written. All other season were great.
