I love how intelligently these two humans speak about filmmaking and the industry, but the fact they can also share their perspectives as people female identifying makes this podcast feel empowering and eye opening. Especially in this modern culture of the #MeToo movement this podcast helps me realize all the ways Hollywood subverts women to meet a misogynistic agenda. But it’s not all doom and gloom, they also champion and celebrate the progress art and media IS making. Also they are so so so f... more
These two are phenomenal! Not only are they hilariously entertaining but they also provide insightful and necessary commentary about the film industry while still celebrating the art form of moviemaking and providing prime time entertainment for listeners. 10’s 10s, 10s across the board!
Molly and Tina are fantastic hosts to this innovative podcast that reinvents the way we look at classic movies. It reminds everyone that representation in media is important while also just being great comic relief. Definitely check it out! more
Molly and Tina make me laugh my butt off! They always have the latest tv and movie news and pick interesting movies to discuss. While I am not T*r*nt*no-averse, they now even censors mentions of him for those who are.
I love movies and media and since graduating from college many moons ago, I have missed talking about movies in an intelligent, feminist, fun, and critical way. This podcast fills that gap! Tina and Molly have insightful, nuanced, and pretty hilarious conversations about movies that are often deemed “classics” but when looked at from different perspectives and thought of in terms of their Lady Parts only, don’t always hold up. Each episode feels like you’re chatting with friends and provides muc... more
In a world where there’s no shortage of movie watching podcasts, it’s refreshing to listen to one that takes such a fun yet nuanced view on the movies we’ve accepted as good and taken them to task. Molly and Tina are terrific hosts that manage to shift from having probing conversations about representation in media, to gushing about how hot Cate Blanchett is with marked ease. You may not always agree with their take on films, but they will cause you to really think about the art we consume. This... more
This a great idea, and one I never would’ve had. Great job!
It doesn’t matter if you agree with their reviews, but Molly and Tina really put in the time and thought in how they present their podcast and their discussions on extraneous (non-movie) media. It has really opened my eyes about the paucity of women’s and minorities’ roles in movies and off-screen staff. I applaud them in bringing these disparities to the forefront and encourage everyone to think about their message. Plus, it has caused me to consider (or not) some movies I never would have thou... more
