When four University of Idaho students were stabbed to death in their off-campus house on King Road, the media descended on the tiny town of Moscow, Idaho. ABC News Correspondent Kayna Whitworth brings listeners behind the scenes as she investigates the savage murders that captivated and horrified the nation in the winter of 2022. The King Road Killings, an immersive, reported series from ABC Audio, follows the case against Bryan Kohberger, the criminology PhD student charged with the murders. In the series, Whitworth takes a close look at why these students might have been targeted, how fear can grip a town when little information comes from law enforcement, and what happens when your community becomes the latest “true crime” storyline. A five-part narrative series, plus special update episodes as new information comes to light. Look for Season 2 at the start of the trial.

Some of these comments are ridiculous, don’t bother writing a review if you aren’t serious or just mentally impaired…this podcast is informative to a point, the gap between new episodes is too long
I found the pace perfect. Not slow at all for me. I was totally intrigued. Definitely among the best podcasts I’ve listened to
What sets this podcast apart is the sense that it was written and recorded with a good balance of interest in the story and respect/care for the victims and their families. Lots of people in the reviews are missing the point in the podcast’s critiques of sleuths and other media outlets. The problem obviously isn’t that people are reporting the story — that’s what journalists do, after all — but more that many true crimers and sleuths wanted so badly to insert themselves into a story or get an in... more
This is just a fight between the alternative media vs MSM! The reporter is. more worried about ABC/MSM image than actually reporting on the case. Personally I’d rather go with alternative, if the last 3 years are anything to go by.
Very one-sided and victim-focused, to be expected in a horrific case. Not a BK defender at all but there is a reason it’s “innocent until proven guilty”. Hard to find unbiased reporting, especially in this podcast which is relying so heavily on sound bites from the Goncalves family who don’t even trust the investigators.
