  • Jimmy!

I like Jim Day and the Reds announcers. I just don’t care to get to know the players because before you know it they are gone. I’m more of a team guy than a player guy. Who cares what these guys are like. Chances are you wouldn’t like them anyway. Definitely candy coated content. I miss Marty.

  • WELCOME BACK!

Thanks Jim… for everything. Wow… sixth year. Kudos!!!! This episode with Hunter Greene was such a welcome conversation. Authentic and genuine - as per usual. The candor, the continued maturation, the obvious leadership mindset, selflessness… always enjoy hearing Hunter’s passion for the game. Looking forward to another great year of interviews and conversations. Keep being you Jim, very much appreciated.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

J.K. Simmons
Q: Could you tell us the story at 10 years of age, you moved to Worthington, Ohio, which is a suburb of Columbus, correct?
Simmons recounts moving to Worthington, Ohio at age 10 due to his father's new job at Ohio State, and shares about his experiences supporting the Buckeyes and playing sports there.
Brady Singer
Q: How's the repertoire right now?
I like having more pitches; it's been about evolving my game and adding new weapons against hitters, particularly lefties.
Brady Singer
Q: How do you feel about being labeled as an 'innings eater'?
I enjoy the label because it means I'm making starts and staying healthy, which is important in today's game.
Brady Singer
Q: Do you have to change the way you pitch? Or is that too much to think about?
It's too much to think about. Instead of focusing on how to change my pitching for the ballpark, I'm continually working on improving my pitches and bringing new ideas to the table.
Pat Kelsey
Q: What are your thoughts on the current version of the team?
I'm bullish on our trajectory; we have great transfers and returning core players, and I believe we can soon hang a banner.
