  • More Retired Players Please!

Love the interviews. Just need more retired players. The Jim Maloney episode is gold. Get more of the Big Red Machine before they are gone. You had them in Cincy and should have been talking to them. Find more of the 60s and 70s era players yo mix in. Please! They have great stories!

  • Jimmy!

I like Jim Day and the Reds announcers. I just don’t care to get to know the players because before you know it they are gone. I’m more of a team guy than a player guy. Who cares what these guys are like. Chances are you wouldn’t like them anyway. Definitely candy coated content. I miss Marty.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Nathaniel Lowe & Spencer Steer
Q: Who are two players you think could be Hall of Famers right now?
Mike Trout is the obvious slam dunk; other candidates include Chris Sale and Clayton Kershaw as potential Hall of Famers depending on long-term careers.
Bronson Arroyo
Q: How did the burn rate idea start, and what did you hope to achieve with it?
It began as a simple way to ensure I could take care of the people around me while staying financially steady, with a monthly allowance that would last into old age, ensuring I didn't overextend and could still give back and enjoy life.
Connor Phillips
Q: How did the team's handling of his injuries affect him?
He describes the physical toll of thoracic outlet syndrome and the later rehab path, including the decision to move to relief to preserve longevity and contribute to the team.
Emilio Pagán
Q: Why come back here? Beyond the money, what factors influenced your decision?
Pagán highlights the business fit, the value of the offer, the clubhouse culture, and his belief that the Reds can compete for a championship, all of which outweighed other potential destinations.
J.K. Simmons
Q: Could you tell us the story at 10 years of age, you moved to Worthington, Ohio, which is a suburb of Columbus, correct?
Simmons recounts moving to Worthington, Ohio at age 10 due to his father's new job at Ohio State, and shares about his experiences supporting the Buckeyes and playing sports there.
