  • Clear teaching on I&2 Timothy

Thank you pastors especially for your discussions on I Tim 2. This part of Scripture has been so confusing to me. Misinterpretating this passage has been a hinderance to the church and presenting the gospel.

Pastor Jim, I have always appreciated hear your teaching of Scripture and your thoughts on issues we face in society. I appreciate your heart for God, love for His people and drive for spreading the gospel.

New pastors often rush to make changes without valuing the existing culture and relationships, which can undermine trust within the congregation.
When You're Ready to be a Lead Pastor
Q: How do you know when you're ready to serve as a lead pastor?
The readiness often comes from experience rather than a specific set of skills; it involves spiritual discernment and understanding the responsibilities that come with the role.
What's the Purpose of the Gifts of the Spirit?
Q: How do you think about the relationship of gifts to people?
Gifts should not be viewed as something individuals possess; rather, we should remain open to whatever gift God may provide in a particular moment.
Is Everything that Happens God's Will?
Q: How can we trust God when things don't seem to be going our way?
We should trust that God is working behind the scenes and will ultimately bring about good, even in hardships.
A Conversation of 2 Peter
Q: Do you think people really, in most of our churches, are living with that sense of imminence regarding Christ's return?
There seems to be a lack of urgency about Christ's return; many pastors don't preach on it, and people feel more comfortable focusing on their current plans rather than longing for His return.
