  • The Jew Function Podcast is relevant

This podcast is very relevant. Both as woman and educator, I would recommend to listen it and in particular the part three on the birth of Zionism and the relationship between Jews in Europe. I also see it as well as a foundational learning tool to enable connection for all, starting from school, family and community.Keep it current! Thanks. Ari

  • How is this not playing in every Jewish home?!?

I was blown away by the systemic explanation of these guys. It’s history mixed with quantum physics mixed with network science and a few other things I can’t exactly make out. I don’t know if this holds the solution to antisemitism but it’s the first comprehensive discussion on it that’s not falling into the same “stop being an antisemite” solution.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

TJF #135 The dangerous political narrative that says "we don't need the world"
Q: What was the key takeaway from the hostage children campaign that could be applied to future crises?
Focus on a single, resonant message that unites diverse audiences and avoids reframing disputes as winner-loser; sovereignty over the narrative should prioritize humanitarian concerns and universal values to gain broad support.
TJF #135 The dangerous political narrative that says "we don't need the world"
Q: What can be done to build trust across political and social divides in Israel?
A practical approach includes cross-community leadership programs (like Maoz), long-term relationship building, and education that emphasizes shared history and human connection over partisan narratives.
TJF #135 The dangerous political narrative that says "we don't need the world"
Q: Can PR fix a fractured society, or does it simply amplify the state of unity or disunity inside the country?
PR can influence perception but cannot fundamentally fix deep internal divisions; true change requires internal cohesion and leadership that can bring different groups together, otherwise messaging will just reflect the underlying tensions.
TJF #135 The dangerous political narrative that says "we don't need the world"
Q: Do you think the world's reaction is mainly about what's happening in the war, or is it revealing something broken inside Israeli society?
The world is reacting to both; while the war and Hamas drive attention, the coverage also exposes fractures inside Israeli society. He argues that unified messaging is hard unless there is internal unity, and external audiences respond to how cohesively Israel presents itself.
TJF Live #134 | We belong together. Unless you're a Jew.
Q: What role do Jewish sages and historical narratives play in shaping current strategies to combat antisemitism?
Sage-based guidance provides a framework for unity, ethical behavior, and constructive engagement. The hosts and Melissa discuss drawing on ancient wisdom to motivate modern activism and to articulate how unity above differences can be leveraged to influence broader society.
