I have been a heretic since the 1980’s after I discovered Swedenborg and was baptized in his church. I still attend a fundamentalist church where I have to refrain from disagreeing. I like to make friends there. Unfortunately I’m having a hard time listening to the sermons. I’m tired of listening to sermons where the congregation is always told they are bad Christian’s and need to do better. We are always in need of improving, but let’s not make it a topic in every sermon.
I was expecting this to be a Bible-thumping podcast, but it is actually a philosophical journey into the many contradictions in the Bible and how it happened. The content is well-researched, well-articulated, and presented in a digestible and conversational manner. It’s helping my spirituality by giving answers to things that never sat well with me. No dogma, no preaching. Just data.
Really enjoying this podcast so far. Would love to see/hear from women researchers, writers, academics etc. on the show who explore similar topics.

I pray you use your platform for the good for all human beings, even if you piss more people off. This is all an illusion a... more
