Not only did this series shatter that illusion it’s also illuminating and the choice of knowledgeable academics from the multiple strands of Irish opinion really makes this series a painless and fun guide to Irish history. A varied series of contributions and some unusual views- very few people in Ireland would put Charlie Haughey in the top four given his acknowledged corruption but a well argued perspective by the contributor. A well put together series- highly recommended
