I love discussing the show and hearing different views so was happy to find this. However there’s a lot of off topic banter and some of the panel (i.e. especially McCall) seem to not have a great grasp on storylines and things that are supposed to be viewed with a broader context in mind. The towel thing with Molly, condoms being whipped out for love scenes etc. Many things are implied like many shows, especially short shows. I think the panel would benefit taking more time after watching before... more
The omission of showing the keycard exchange an the conversation between Andrew and his brother after the pool confrontation were meant to be ambiguous. We were not supposed to see it. It’s meant to cause the audience to think about various points view.
I’ve given this a few tries as Insecure is one of my favorite shows and I enjoy recaps. Each time I’ve listened I found myself wondering if we all watch the same show. Some of the discussions are around things that never happened. The hosts also are all over the place. I’ll stick with Insecuritea.
I think there needs to be a stronger male representation. The male on the cast is speaking from the male perspective but he isn’t being introspective enough to fully express the male point of view so that the female listeners understand the male mindset. It’s like he either doesn’t know HOW to convey his points clearly or he attempting to not ruffle the feathers of the other 2 females on the cast by not being direct enough.
Lacklustre and weird analysis
Like other reviewers, they unfortunately don’t stay on topic enough. Wouldn’t be a bad idea to switch up the host.
Can’t stand how they don’t stay on track and review the episode in order. They discuss scenes that happened in the end first, then talk about the beginning. That’s not how you review a show. They also seem to review things that never happened on the show.
Hey Guys! My homegirl turned me on to, not only Insecure, but the aftershow as well. You guys do a great job keep it up.
