Expensive Information, free. Thank you! btw that 1 guy not Microsoft sponsored right hehe think it was genuine enthusiasm just for a shortterm obsessed company (at the moment), anyway—good stuff! — UPDATE: also well mastered w/the audio I think b/c clarity even over a tiny speaker w/background noise!

  • Decent content, abysmal sound editing

Very hard to listen to... loudness smoothing and balance is all off on nearly every episode.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Anthropic’s Invasion of Slack, OpenAI Cuts Inference Costs in Half, Amazon’s Higher Anthropic Costs
Q: What is OpenAI doing to reduce the cost of running inference, and how might that affect customers and cloud providers?
OpenAI is implementing a range of optimizations, from low-level chip and model-level tweaks to higher-level architectural changes like caching and batching, alongside strategic decisions around model selection. The net effect could be a meaningful reduction in per-session costs, potentially expanding usage or improving margins for OpenAI, but the specifics of the optimization are not publicly disclosed.
Tesla Eliminates Miami Safety Drivers, Nvidia Teams Up With Rival, SK Hynix to List on NASDAQ
Q: What are the big questions the reporter is pursuing about Tesla's rollout going forward?
She plans to watch how Tesla scales across more cities, how quickly it can deploy driverless capabilities, and how remote operators and safety protocols evolve with the driverless rollout.
Trump Lifts Claude Fable 5 Ban, Anthropic Preps Agent in Microsoft Teams, Elon Musk’s Inner Circle
Q: How does Anthropic compare to OpenAI in their regulatory approach?
Anthropic is portrayed as more savvier in balancing innovation with policy considerations, avoiding some of OpenAI's controversial moves, and maintaining a posture that emphasizes safety and humanity, which could influence public and regulatory perception.
Trump Lifts Claude Fable 5 Ban, Anthropic Preps Agent in Microsoft Teams, Elon Musk’s Inner Circle
Q: Does this tell us anything about future model releases and how the government framework might affect them?
The panel suggested that a formal regulatory framework could become a gatekeeper for model releases, potentially making future launches more predictable but also slower, with a voluntary yet influential process that companies must navigate.
Trump Lifts Claude Fable 5 Ban, Anthropic Preps Agent in Microsoft Teams, Elon Musk’s Inner Circle
Q: What were your reflections on this whole saga?
The guest argued that regulation is a competitive and political space, with AI releases needing proactive, thoughtful engagement from companies while acknowledging public anxiety and the evolving framework to govern frontier models.
