Excellent story that I originally listened to years ago. I’m listening to it again and totally floored by the fact that Tracy based his dystopia in 2020. How prophetic!
This is quite simply the best book I have ever read and heard. I am just working my way through the podcast for what is now I think the sixth time. I first listened probably ten years ago and have come back to it so many times. The story and the characters are exceptional and it grips me from start to end.
I listen to this book just after the Author First Wrote it many years ago. It is every bit as good as I remember it this time around.
Really well written
I generally give audiobooks a 3 chapter go/no go, and almost closed this, but the story grows and grows and grows on you. Actually ‘story’ is not a fully accurate description. The Immortals is a tale of the tragedies, will, and triumphs of the American (human) spirit, and a hope for the future. There are very few audiobooks I listen to twice, and I certainly will listen to this one again. Kudos Tracy (and Laura) on a masterful story and presentation. I was moved and inspired.
