I followed this podcast up to the 100th episode give or take. I enjoyed it thoroughly most days but as it gained popularity they got too big for their britches. They got sponsored and formed a little cult almost in their social platforms to a point where if you didn’t use their sponsored products, voiced opinions on a product you liked better or even just talked differing opinions you were ostracized. Waterfowlers are the worst kind of gear junkies. That’s a known fact. I can take some razzing b... more
So far I am on episode 80 and think these guys are funny and smart when it comes to waterfowl hunting. I have been hunting off and on since I was a kid and I’m always up for learning. These two have helped me in many different areas from what gear is best, to better ways to improve my hunting skills and many others. They are both level headed and willing to give an opinion but also understand the other person’s view. I plan on finishing all the episodes and hope there are more to come. I read... more
Just a listened to episode 198 with Dr. Joe Spoo very informative episode on some simple ways to better understand and acknowledge signs of problems a dog can be enduring throughout their work load. Also a good reminder not to over react but be mindful of the dogs need many of our breeds won’t stop until they drop. Being able to recognize and stop working before a serious injury occurs is vital. Good episode on how to maintain and keep a dogs health in peak performance for long days in the field... more
It’s okay. It doesn’t seem very organized at times, the sounds quality is decent, a lot of times one guy talks louder than the other into the mic so be prepared to have your ears blown off if you turn the volume up to hear the one guy. They always seem to take for ever to jump into the topic of the day. Other than that there some decent info here, nothing you couldn’t find on the internet yourself though.
Cliche brand plugging from guys that live in the city......want to be experts with limited experience in waterfowling. Claim to know about Midwest hunting when they only hunt with outfitters. Just silly.
