Disagree with views of one. Patriotism/love of country isn’t blind loyalty. It’s caring enough to call out the problems. Athletes get asked questions and can share their honest opinions without worrying about being jailed when they get home. Nothing more American than that. As for the men, I think they can be forgiven for being caught up in the moment. This should have been easy. Actually say the words “I’m sorry”. They can say they were caught up in the moment but in no way meant to denigrate... more

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

SHORT SHIFTS - BUBBLE HOCKEY
Q: Give us some background on the Super Chexx game and how people can get them, your role at the company, all those types of things.
Super Chexx has been manufactured for 44 years and is the number one dome hockey game in the world; we sell internationally and domestically, with a strong presence in homes, businesses, universities, and skating rinks. We offer customization for surfaces, jerseys, and even players, and we've evolved with features like the Jumbotron, more national anthems, and improved durability.
SHORT SHIFTS - BUBBLE HOCKEY
Q: Greg, how are you doing today?
I'm great, and thank you for the warm intro; happy to be here and share the story behind Super Chexx and our customization capabilities.
Implications of the New College Hockey Rules & Building a Life Outside of the Rink, with Guest Alexios Georgaklis, NCAA D3 Connecticut College Commit - EP 429
Q: What advice would you give to players in non-traditional markets dealing with limited ice time and rising costs?
Focus on intentional practice, build skills off the ice, and create value outside hockey (like starting a business) to stay motivated and resilient while finding ways to train smart and stay connected.
Implications of the New College Hockey Rules & Building a Life Outside of the Rink, with Guest Alexios Georgaklis, NCAA D3 Connecticut College Commit - EP 429
Q: How did the CHL eligibility change affect your recruitment prospects and decision to go to D3 at Connecticut College?
The change flipped the dynamics; schools shifted their attention, and I decided to prioritize education and long-term development, recognizing that D3 hockey could still offer a path to pro and a strong career outside hockey.
Summer Hockey & a Deep Dive into Skills, with Guest Justin Selman, Topline Hockey - EP 424
Q: Can you give us an example of how you manipulate drill difficulty to balance skill development and challenge?
A simple example is adding two-puck exchanges so players must pass and receive simultaneously, which raises the cognitive and proprioceptive demands while keeping the drill within a progression that builds from basic to more complex execution.
