  • Excellent and easy listening

This is a really good, conversational podcast on the history of witchcraft’s position and treatment in society. A few comical mispronunciations but nothing that prevents this being easy to listen to. Thoroughly researched and carefully presented, I enjoyed this a lot.

  • Thorough

Conversational, but a thorough rather than popular history of witchcraft. Mostly based on primary sources as far as I can tell, and many sources treated with skepticism which denotes cross-checking. The circumstances behind witch scares - economic, sociological, political and even individually malicious are well explained.

Very interesting and informative and shows how sad and stupid religious superstition is.

  • A Great Find!

I started listening to this after hearing Samuel appear as a guest on The History of England podcast show. The History of Witchcraft is very well researched and I am glad I didn’t live in times gone by as I am female, approaching middle age and have 4 cats 😂 Keep up the good work!
