Horror, and folklore, and mystery, and excellent cast and narration. Eagerly awaiting the next episode.
It didn't manage to catch my interest. Listened to the first two episodes, and ... nope, not for me. Besides, I'm not that into creepy or horror stories.
I love it. There is so much mythology and other old gods, almost lost history tied into a riveting story. The voice over is a bit cringe, as some specifically are just annoying over the top and literally just absurd. Really. But the time in between uploads is ludicrous. Even pledging or whatever does no good. I just need it to be an audiobook at this point because I need all of the stories from fae to the great hunt to just all of it to start coming together. more
Pretty good story with pretty predictable plot twists. Half decent acting, good audio and foley. Overall pretty enjoyable. If you make it through the first couple of episodes, you'll probably be hooked. If not, well... never mind.
Yes, there are many not great elements in this one, I will agree with many of them. For me the “teen” detective and completely unbelievable police procedures stood as the worst of it. There is an ok story and I am not giving up quite yet but it definitely needs some polishing. I applaud the effort, so 3 instead of my gut of 2 stars. MacKenna is insufferable, not sure what is to blame, bad acting or bad guidance, if she were killed off it would definitely help.
