  • A Modern Horror and its Historical Touchstone - What A Concept!

Brothers Mike McCarty and James Knight offer an hilariously reverent-and at times lovingly irreverent-insider’s knowledge take on modern horror films and an historical antecedent. Think Sinners and the earlier From Dusk Till Dawn; The Monkey and Monkey Shines; the recent Nosferatu and The Lost Boys. It’s a goldmine of a conceit for a genre podcast, allowing nostalgic homage to loved earlier films, while highlighting newer gems. And all peppered with casual asides such as Mike (who’s the shop sup... more

  • Great Misfits cover band

I would give it 10 stars but Apple doesn’t allow a true grading scale. Great podcast about horror movies. One of the guys is an old biker, the other a coastal elite. Their dichotomy lends itself to interesting stories. Overall possibly the best horror podcast available. Now send me a coffee mug!

  • The Best Film Podcast

I’ve never been a podcast enjoyer honestly, but these two have genuinely changed my outlook on podcasts as a whole. Their unique approach: taking a new horror film paired with a similar older film is genius. You can tell they know their stuff; their breakdowns are what you'd expect from industry insiders or die-hard horror aficionados. It’s exciting to see my favorite films and even more exciting when they cover something I’ve never seen. Gives me a new film to check out.
