Reviews

4.5 out of 5 stars from 1.7k ratings
  • Love his politics but all that reading to us just seems lazy. We want engaging interesting dialogue between bright people not someone filling up a podcast with finding stuff to read.

  • Would have been a five-star review but…

I can’t recommend the radio show/podcast since Thom allows right-wing (paid) shills to spew their traitorous opinions. Other show have banned these individuals for good reason. These people have enough of their own outlets, we don’t need them on the VERY FEW progressive outlets. Unfortunately, Thom has become an appeaser.

  • Love his show but he is kind of showing his age by repeating stories so much.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Pentagon Readies Sledgehammer to Pound Iran Again
Q: What is the capacity factor and why does it matter for energy policy in Ohio?
The capacity factor measures how consistently an energy source can produce power; the discussion notes how proposals require a misleading 50% all-the-time production standard for wind and solar, which is impractical given variability, and explains why this could effectively outlaw these technologies.
David Daley is 'Unrigged'
Q: Tell us about the key effect of the Calais decision on minority political power.
The Calais decision, in the host's framing, accelerates the reduction of protections for minority voters by enabling more aggressive redistricting and weakening the universal safeguards established by the Voting Rights Act, which could lead to fewer seats representing Black Democrats and a broader erosion of minority political influence.
Daily Take: They’re Coming for Our Voter Rolls: Millions Could Vanish Before Election Day
Q: Your prescriptions are in your emergency medical kit. Peter, welcome to the program. Tell us about this.
Peter explains the emergency medical kit program, its nationwide prescription capability, and how licensed doctors review intake data to dispense medicines and ship to customers, emphasizing FDA compliance and accessibility.
No President is Ever Above the Law
Q: Is there a point you wanted to make beyond that?
The caller prompts a broader discussion about prosecutorial strategy and holding officials accountable, touching on dual sovereignty and the pathway to accountability beyond individual figures.
Why Trump’s Iran War Is Now More Unpopular Than Vietnam
Q: Is Donald Trump's Iran war more hated than Vietnam?
Yes, polls cited on the show indicate higher disapproval for the Iran strikes than for Vietnam, reflecting a significant drop in public support for the administration's policy.
