  • Love his politics but all that reading to us just seems lazy. We want engaging interesting dialogue between bright people not someone filling up a podcast with finding stuff to read.

  • Would have been a five-star review but…

I can’t recommend the radio show/podcast since Thom allows right-wing (paid) shills to spew their traitorous opinions. Other show have banned these individuals for good reason. These people have enough of their own outlets, we don’t need them on the VERY FEW progressive outlets. Unfortunately, Thom has become an appeaser.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Manchurian Candidate Auto Operates
Q: Jennifer in Seattle asks about the Ceuta migration event and the claim that Russian and Israeli actors amplified it on social media.
Thom or a co-host responds by acknowledging the report, connecting it to a broader pattern of foreign manipulation in Europe, and reiterating the need for critical scrutiny of such claims.
Justice Jackson Sounds the Alarm
Q: Can voters take immediate action to block these kinds of executive moves on mail-in ballots?
At this moment, the host suggests that there is no quick fix, but encourages voters to vote in November, plan ahead, and push elected officials to pursue long-term reforms that reduce unilateral presidential power over elections.
They Wreck it so They Can Rob It
Q: Why do you think there is so much misinformation about Social Security among voters?
Because politicians exploit fear and misinformation to frame Social Security as a burden or scam, while in reality it provides foundational coverage for disability, retirement, and survivors, which is why it needs broad, nonpartisan defense and expansion.
Recovering from the Daily Trump Trauma Machine
Q: What do you think about the state of democracy and the way Americans engage with politics today?
John Pavlovitz emphasizes the need for vigilance, accountability, and active civic participation to safeguard democracy against rising autocratic tendencies and misinformation.
Oligarchs, Autocrats, and your Social Security
Q: What is your view on Medicare Part D and drug pricing reform under the current administration?
The guest highlights the need for Medicare drug price negotiation to lower costs and argues that privatized variants of Medicare undermine patient access, calling for expansion of negotiation and oversight.
