  • Good podcast, let down by the host

I used to listen to this podcast every day and kept giving the host the benefit of the doubt, but eventually it was one patronising lecture too many.

Every few episodes the football takes a back seat while the audience gets another self-righteous monologue about how people should behave—usually with little or nothing to do with Arsenal. I listen for Arsenal, not to be lectured.

The podcast constantly talks about positivity and respect, yet the tone often feels anything but: condescending, comb... more

Where do I start with this host ? He is the most arrogant (no reason to be)smug person you will ever meet he has very limited football knowledge but uses the fact he glazes arteta in press conferences to try talk like he knows what he’s talking about. He speaks to the audience like they are the minors he used to police at school he’s the reason Arsenal fans are a laughing stock the sooner he goes over to Charlton the better WE DONT WANT YOU AT OUR CLUB I’m also concerned about his bloating

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

Christos Tzolis, William Saliba, Andrea Berta and Transfer Panic! Justified? - With James B from Goonerverse
Q: What is the strongest potential move this window?
Bruno Guimarães is highlighted as the midfield signing that could truly transform Arsenal, with Rodgers and Alvarez also in the running, reflecting a preference for high-impact, multidimensional players.
Christos Tzolis £35m Move, Bruno Guimaraes MAJOR update & Second Signing Announced - Arsenal Transfer Show
Q: In your mind, is Christos Tzolis world-class or not?
He's a very good player with impressive numbers, but I wouldn't label him world-class yet; there are questions about translating his Belgium/Champions League form to the Premier League and Arsenal would need to see how he adapts.
Arsenal Press Conferences, Jurrien Timber Boost, Champions League Final - Tom Reports From Budapest
Q: Lee asks how transfers will progress in the World Cup summer, given players' involvement in the tournament.
The host explains that transfers tend to pause for World Cup participants, while non-involved players continue to move, with ongoing speculation around players like Anthony Gordon, Julian Alvarez, and Ibrahima Kanate.
Morgan Rogers to Arsenal, Jurrien Timber's Final Chances & PSG Face-Offs - Ft Art de Roche
Q: Who should start up front, Kavatskelia or Yorkees?
The guest leans toward Kavatskelia to start, citing hold-up play and early hold in the game, with Yorkees as a strong finisher coming off the bench.
Morgan Rogers to Arsenal, Jurrien Timber's Final Chances & PSG Face-Offs - Ft Art de Roche
Q: How does Timber's fitness affect his chances of playing?
If Timber can train fully on Friday, there is a real possibility he starts to provide solidity at the back, otherwise Mosquera would fill in.
