  • Please Find New Hosts!

Now that this Phillies season is essentially over, I want to respectfully request the producers find two new hosts for this podcast. John and Liz bring nothing interesting to the discussion of the Phillies. I feel I like I’m listening to two lawyers on a blind date at CBP, fighting to sound smart and interesting while talking about baseball as they’re each on their phones, trying to line up dates with other people for later in the week. Can you please find two hosts who really know baseball and ... more

  • Thanks everyone!

Thank you, John, Liz, and Justin, for all of the shows you do. I’ve been listening to you all for many years; glad the last few seasons have been successful for the Phils.

Unsure what’s going on with your YouTube channel and the few views but hoping your video live shows can pick up steam. I would love to have a live show/ live chat going into the playoffs.

Talking Points

Recent interactions between the hosts and their guests.

#1014: What To Watch For During the Phillies' Last Week of the Season
Q: What do you want to see over the last week?
I want to see this team just kind of hang on to the output they've been able to achieve this month.
#984: Phillies Trade Talk Before a Series in San Diego
Q: How much time do you think Andrew Painter needs in the minor leagues to be ready for the big leagues?
I don't think there's a specific timeline; it depends on how well he utilizes the sinker and how he pitches during his games.
#984: Phillies Trade Talk Before a Series in San Diego
Q: So, what adjustments do you feel Painter needs to make to be ready for major league hitters?
He needs to be able to throw a sinker effectively and develop more movement on his fastball.
#984: Phillies Trade Talk Before a Series in San Diego
Q: Where do you think the line is? Your best guess. Is Andrew Painter still completely off the table?
I think they've nursed Painter for so long that he's off the table. Teams might want to take advantage of the fact he isn't doing too well right now in AAA. But I don't think the Phillies are going to fall for it.
#993: Phillies Trade Deadline Recap!
Q: Is your perception of Phillies management more committed to this core than we thought?
I think they're going to re-sign Schwaber and feel like the window for this particular group of players is this year and next year.
